Who We Are

Curatio is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children diagnosed with autism between the ages of 6 months and 6 years. Our approach combines compassionate early intervention, family support, and cutting-edge scientific research.

My name is Matteo Merla, and I am the Director of Curatio Helps Autism, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing advanced treatment options for young children with autism. Our focus is on supporting families with children between the ages of six months and six years, particularly those who cannot afford these treatments on their own.

At Curatio, we are proud to offer financial support for stem cell treatments designed to address autism-related disabilities. Based on our intensive research and rigorous criteria, we believe that this innovative approach can provide children with a 65% to 85% opportunity for healing. By alleviating the financial burden, we aim to give hope to Canadian families who need it most.

The word Curatio means “treatment” in Latin, which perfectly embodies our mission: to heal and support.

A little about my background: I have been a social worker for over a decade, working with children and teenagers facing challenges such as drug addiction, schizophrenia, and autism. My experiences have fueled my passion for creating meaningful change in the lives of those affected by autism. After conducting extensive research into stem cell therapy, I became deeply committed to ensuring that families, regardless of their financial situation, can access this promising treatment.

Our ultimate goal is not only to improve the quality of life for children but also to bring hope and relief to their families, including parents, grandparents, and siblings. At Curatio, we believe that when one family member thrives, the entire family benefits.

Together, we can create a brighter future for children with autism and their loved ones.

We work in collaboration with Duke University in California, a global leader in stem cell treatment for autism spectrum disorder (ASD), to explore innovative therapies that offer real hope.
